I think it's inevitable that as we read each other's journals we create mental pictures of each other. Post this on your own journal to find out who your friends see when they read about your life.
Two Rules:
1. The person must be in the movies or on TV (but doesn't have to be an actor/actress). The person can be specific to a role (e.g. Jennifer Elhe's Elizabeth Bennet) or just the person themself.
2. You have to post a link to a picture of said person in the comments.
Real Estate Guy Gary called this morning and said that the seller's agent faxed paperwork to his office late last night, and he's with an out of state client today so he doesn't know the nitty gritty specifics, but according to the secretary at the office, it looked like the counter was for $100K with the seller paying closing costs.
I half expected this to be the case, so I have no problem with it. Assuming there's nothing surprising in the paperwork I see later today when Gary calls me back and he doesn't think we'll be able to do better I think we have a deal. I'll post incoherent screaming when the deal is closed.
I worked out my finances, and figured out the best way to do things... and what's remarkable is that I think I could do this without my parents' help if I had to. They're still going to help me out financially every month, because they offered and I'm not refusing, but that will just go to me saving up a significant cushion as the year progresses, in case of trouble-y trauma. Like if/when I MUST replace something or homeowners' association rates are raised.
Also, I filled out one of those lovely forms online asking for homeowner's insurance quotes, and have been called twice. Both of the guys seem to work for Allstate, so there's not a lot of difference between them, but I like the sound of the first guy who called me better. More chatty, more cheerful, and his explanations so that I can make better-informed decisions were already top of the heap. So barring anything spectacular from the second guy, I think I'll stick with Insurance Guy Brian. The quote for homeowner's insurance is about $192/year, which is lovely and nice, AND if I switch my auto insurance to being through Allstate as well it will be even less. Since I can't really pay MORE for auto insurance than I'm paying now (it works out to about $1500/year, which makes NO sense to me since I've had no tickets or accidents and made no claims) I told Insurance Guy Brian to give me a quote. He'll get back to me - I expect I'll go ahead and do it.
Apologies to anyone who's bored of or sick of my condo squeeing and process updates. It's just very exciting to me.

And when I first met you on-line, I pictured you as a lot like Cheer Bear the Care Bear. (Sorry I don't have a picture- I can't pic hunt at work)

And I'm hoping so! I'm waiting on a quote from Insurance Guy, so we'll see what it looks like. I'd LIKE to consolidate my insurance to the same company - it seems like it would be easier from a bookkeeping perspective.

David Nykl as Radek Zelenka. Seriously. You even have the hair. I bet Zelenka would even wear it over his face when he was being silly.
